I sincerely hope this initiative helps to control and (if only) eliminate the predators corrupting this great profession.

Every week here in Queensland I encounter yet another person traumatised by the lie-to/exploit/frighten brigade of local DCs trained by Mertz and his ilk.

Public opinion polls here show that, compared with 25 years ago, DCs are poorly trained, exploitative, and unethical.

I hope there is an international uprising of outrage at this degradation: it's starting to happen in Australia. Decent DCs must speak out: it's NOT OK!

Congratulations on a helpful (if somewhat whimsical) initiative to that end.

Get yourself a light saber and use the powers of logic and science to strike down the dark side (vendors) who claim to be guided by innate but really are guided by $$$.

The problem you describe is why I have language like this at my website:

"Some chiropractic offices attempt to treat every patient for every problem for as many visits as possible. This is one reason why some patients are hesitant to try a chiropractor.

We don't blame you for being cautious. No matter what doctor you see, a consumer has the right to be informed about what you are getting and why. READ MORE>>"

Not only are predatory vendors an image problem as they run amok in our profession, but now they should be considered deadly as we've seen in the Joanne Gallagher case.

As I've written, every one of her gurus should be indicted as co-conspirators since she simply followed their instructions! Even Tedd Koren--Mr. Anti-Vaccine Man--had the gall to testify in her case that her Upledger Method of balancing the menniges was within standard chiropractic practice. I've never even heard of it!

Even Sherman College bigwigs have distanced themselves from her altho she was a grad and 20-year trustee for them. But her gurus have laid low--TR has not even had an article about her case in his rag. I suspect his CBS insurance was involved in the private settlement because I know for a fact that NCMIC was not a party to that. Also, her website read exactly like the languaged taught by Riekeman, Williams and the other loonies in the chirovangelist world.

More importantly, how many others are there practicing like Gallagher? I fear this may only be the start of non-diagnostic, anti-medicine, anti-ethical chirovangelists who are willing to risk lives to pursue their antiquated principle of Innatism.

Don't get me started...
