The following is a testimonial by a Quixote subscriber who tells the story of a dead software company, Quixote, that TR bought into this last year.

One thing for certain, the owners of PPT were not trustworthy people. I have given a few examples and have notified the California EDD about their tax fraud. These two owners have also federal IRS liens against them, so they allegedly are pilfering the company's cash reserves. As I mentioned, once PPT is investigated, don't be surprised if a few owners end up in jail. I spoke with a disgruntled employee for over an hour as she confided into me many illegalities going on there. Just like TR, these folks are crooks. Time will tell who's telling the truth.

Here's another email exchange with another DC about Quixote:
just got off the phone with *** who works at Quixote/RCS for TR. What another great confession--4 pages worth of notes--including the fact that RCS has been charging California sales tax but has never paid it to the govt. She's a very smart young woman whose dad is a DC, but got involved with RCS only to find it was corrupt, not only by TR, but by the Quixote bigwigs. Supposedly RCS/Quixote has not paid salaries on time and still owes over $200,000 in employe taxes too. She's promised to write her story down and send it to me. We spoke for nearly an hour this morning.
She also mentioned that RCS is not ready and is a "pipedream" for naive young DCs who pay over $13,000 for nothing. She knows other employees who are mad as hell and ready to explode with insider info, so I urged her to have them send me their stories with the certainity of confidentiality.
Again, what an evil web TR's woven.

Hopefully the IRS caught up to these Quixote thieves and put them away. Now hopefully the IRS will catch up to TR and do the same.

Here's today's confession about Quixote:

Since obtaining new ownership, Quixote has stopped developing their program and their support has gone from an A+ to a D-.
I purchased Quixote because it was a good program on a good platform and they were constantly improving it with user input.  They were discussing all kinds of great improvements to the program.  I was getting significant updates and improvements every few weeks.  They were frequently sending surveys out to decide what future improvements their customers were seeking.  That came to a dead stop on 1/14/2008, the last day we receive and update to our system.  When I called to question their lack of progress a few months ago, I was told that their program was good enough and no significant improvements were planned.
When I first purchased the program, I was able to get support on the phone immediately.  Problems were handled on the spot.  If the person on the phone couldn't help you, someone else was on the phone in seconds with the answer.
I recently had my server crash.  When I called support, I got an answering machine.  When no one returned my call, I called through their sales line to get help.  To make a very long story short, I spent the next week and a half tracking down different people trying to find someone who could get me back up and running.  It was ridiculous.
That said, Quixote is a good system.  My server crash was a freak accident.  From what I can tell, the problems with their support was a bit of an anomaly.  I think they were between techs.  After realizing the tech they had couldn't help me, I think they found someone else or dug up the old tech.   I'm happy enough with their product, but disappointed that they are not going to continue to grow their system better.  Without progress their system will slowly become obsolete.
Because of my recent experience, I am recommending people check out other products.

The reason Quixote stopped all its updates is not because they feel its perfect and doesn't need updates... Its because they lost all their employees who were the heart and brains behind the project.  Its a shame. Many people who truly believed in making a difference and the idea was shot to hell by a dysfunctional couple who took credit for everyone else's hard work and effort.

Dear Quixote,

Every time you messed up something on your end, you back stabbed and blamed others around you. Not just in the work force, but your personal lives as well. Congratulations, now everyone is gone. No one else to blame.

I hope you take a good hard look at yourselves and start taking responsibility for your decisions/actions.  You spent so much effort on your stories, justifications and scams. Had you put half of that energy into "your" business, you could have had something great.

Good luck, and may god help you see the light.

Quixote has so many liens against them they can't even pay their staff.  They are totally disorganized and dishonest.  The Labor Board just fined them $15K but my friend is about 5th in line.  What jerks.
