LIE NUMBER 4 -- "Subluxation-based chiropractic is an unscientific 'ideologue'"

The animosity aimed at me cannot be viewed separately from the hatred felt toward subluxation-centered chiropractic itself. I have been labeled "the most dangerous man in chiropractic" because I am a staunch advocate for non-medical chiropractic focusing on the detection and correction of subluxation rather than on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and medical conditions.

The success of my activities -- such as the World Chiropractic Alliance and The Chiropractic Journal and Chiropractic Benefit Services-- have made me "dangerous" to those who had hoped to divorce chiropractic from its roots as a non-therapeutic wellness system.

If I had been just as successful in promoting the American Chiropractic Association or in positioning doctors of chiropractic as chiropractic "physicians," I would never have been on their hit list. If I had been less effective in my business enterprises, I would not have made enemies among those who compete with me in the chiropractic marketplace.

But I am effective and successful, and have been instrumental in generating a backlash against the "anti-subluxation" crowd. No wonder I'm under attack.

My critics love to claim that "my" type of chiropractic is an unscientific ideologue, yet nothing can be further from the truth. The type of chiropractic I advocate is absolutely dependent on scientific research and I have long promoted the creation of a "research culture" in chiropractic that can transform us into an evidence-based scientific profession that is completely congruent with the chiropractic principles and philosophy.

The World Chiropractic Alliance has supported many chiropractic research projects and currently is focused on promoting the use of advanced technology to emphasize neurologically based chiropractic. This approach stresses the neurological component of the subluxation and is completely accepted by the scientific community.

It is in contrast, however, to the type of chiropractic that places DCs in the position of having to diagnose and treat medical conditions and diseases. This is precisely the reason my enemies attack me. Most of them are dependent on the medical paradigm of treating patients with specific ailments such as back pain, headaches, or 'sports injuries.' Their income is derived solely though the sale of products or services aimed at "treating" patients. My opposition to this approach threatens them and they react with hatred and unethical attacks on me and the entire subluxation-centered chiropractic community.  Some of my loudest critics are in trouble for using illegal marketing campaigns regarding the DRX9000 spinal decompression machine.

"The animosity aimed at me cannot be viewed separately from the hatred felt toward subluxation-centered chiropractic itself," so says TR.

Okay, docs, stop laughing.

TR's pathetic self-image is nonsense: it's equivalent to Hitler saying, "why are you folks mad; I'm just trying to save Germany from the evil Jews?"

This is typical demagoguery to profess a higher principle, misrepresent your opposition, then demonize your opponents to stir passions and prejudices in supporters. TR has done this for years, and so did Big $id--to exploit the professionals who were naive enough to fall for this hate-filled ideology.

"The success of my activities -- such as the World Chiropractic Alliance and The Chiropractic Journal and Chiropractic Benefit Services-- have made me "dangerous" to those who had hoped to divorce chiropractic from its roots as a non-therapeutic wellness system," says TR.

What "success" is that? First of all, the WCA is a sham org that is only a figment in TR's imagination with no board, no conferences, no elections and probably no active members. The Chiro Journal is the laughstock of chiro publicatons--pure yellow journalism and vendor-columnists who pay TR a percentage of their sales for ad space and a column--totally unethical journalism by professional standards. And his CBS may be gone with the wind if Compass prevails; plus, has CBS ever given one dime back to the profession as NCMIC constantly does? Okay, stop laughing.

"If I had been just as successful in promoting the American Chiropractic Association or in positioning doctors of chiropractic as chiropractic "physicians," I would never have been on their hit list. If I had been less effective in my business enterprises, I would not have made enemies among those who compete with me in the chiropractic marketplace."

First of all, there are many ethical DCs who promote themselves as "physicians" and some as solely "chiropractors" who hate TR's antics; it has nothing to do with his assumption as much as his inane positions, his yellow journalism, and his obstructionism. Success in your businesses, TR, has nothing to do with the loathing the mainstream has for your many unprofessional and unethical antics. You're not fooling anyone anymore! Just ask Chris Quigley about that, ya folla?

"My critics love to claim that "my" type of chiropractic is an unscientific ideologue, yet nothing can be further from the truth. Since you're broached the issue of scientific research here, why not tell us why your RCS failed? How many DCs did you suck $14,000 plus $100/monthly fee for a program that never produced one study? Why did you lose the IRB status lately? Why did David Jackson quit and why are you suing him? There are many unanswered questions you need to answer, ya folla?

"The World Chiropractic Alliance has supported many chiropractic research projects and currently is focused on promoting the use of advanced technology to emphasize neurologically based chiropractic. Yeah, we believe you, TR. After the ruse of the Sub Station and your other MLM programs, now this is your latest scam. You'll convince only naive DCs who are unaware of your many schemes that you've exploited, then moved on to the next one: VSRI, RCS, VRII, Quixtar, Bodywise, etc.

"It is in contrast, however, to the type of chiropractic that places DCs in the position of having to diagnose and treat medical conditions and diseases. This is precisely the reason my enemies attack me. Most of them are dependent on the medical paradigm of treating patients with specific ailments such as back pain, headaches, or 'sports injuries.' Such a crime to diagnosis and treat conditions and diseases! Listen to yourself, TR. This is exactly what ethical docs do--find and treat disorders. Only the stupid, simplistic chiropracTORs would suggest this is wrong. To suggest "treating" patients is somehow beneath you is demeaning to the thousands of DCs who do this daily, including many straights who don't support you or the sham WCA.

In regards to your cracks at the DRX9000, while its manufacturer made some claims that were spurious, the fact is it is a great tool for people who want to avoid spinal surgery. To demean it with unfounded attacks like yours caused Axiom to threaten to sue you, which you suddenly apologized in your yellow rag.

Before you throw stones at the DRX9000, perhaps you should clean up your act as an unlicensed, unprotected chiropractor who gave an injurious adjustment to Peri Ness on the floor of her Yoga Room. I don't think you want us to go there again, do you?

Can't wait to refute your next supposed lie, TR.
