Any other students fed up?

I've generally ceased to recognize the WCA as a legit organization here at school, refusing to dignify their nonsense with any pretense of equal dialogue. Nearly everything about the WCA and its publications reeks of intellectual shortcuts, conflicts of interest, get-rich-quick schemes, etc. It angers me that such assaults on the intellectual reputation of chiropractors and chiropractic students are ongoing.

At our school, however, there still has not been any authoritative encouragment against such unfortunate elements of the profession. One could argue that the administrative silence is a good thing, letting students figure things out for themselves. And the hardcore anti-education, non-discerning, pseudo-intellectual element at our school is a small minority. However, it's a vocal minority, and their insidious effect shows up in the general attitude of far too many otherwise rational students.

Any other students frequenting this board feel likewise? Speak up.

Absolutely. Maximized Living has infiltrated our campus and at tri 1 orientation, we all sign up for WCA ICA and ACA not knowing the difference, then get junk mail selling non-sense for 3 years. Then again I guess we are a straight school so I am the duck out of water.  Many mixers here are opting for the MSN in Nursing from MidAmericalearning.com  . It's sad that as a whole we are not clinically competent nor business savvy (ethically of course) to make it in the health care arena without resorting to quackery or frickin nursing degrees. Male nurses/Chiropractor. Yes, that is much more respectable
